Over the past ten years, Pieter-Bas has been able to take advantage of numerous opportunities within Sioux and create them himself. He started alongside a buddy, but soon got the chance to grow within the company. Today, Pieter-Bas holds the role of Principal System Designer Mechanics, where he focuses on the development of mechatronic systems. His expertise lies particularly in the design of flow and thermal systems.
Pieter-Bas: 'What I like most about my work at Sioux is the high complexity and diversity of the projects, and to work really close to the hardware. We do development of all kinds of systems and therefore after each project you actually get a new challenge and new opportunities to develop yourself further. It is also a challenge to be allowed to work on a project from A to Z, which is exactly what makes it so much fun. You actually test the system that you are building.'
'Every project gives new opportunities to develop yourself'
Passion for the job
Pieter-bas: 'Sioux employs people with passion for their profession who also feel responsible for a good result. I like to have an impact on the projects I work on and I help colleagues with the complex challenges they encounter. Everyone here is open to questions and likes to help each other along the way. This makes for a friendly, open and informal working environment in which I feel at home.'
We can tell you all about the typical Sioux-culture. About how you can develop yourself, like nowhere else.
But we’d rather have you see and experience it yourself during our Seats to Meet events.
